What to Do If the Power Goes Off

We offer these suggestions:

  1. Check your main fuses or circuit breakers.

  2. Check your meter pole or meter pedestal. If you have breakers below your meter, trip them to the off position and turn them back on. This will insure they are in fact on. If you live in a mobile home, electric safety codes require a disconnect near the meter, so there will definitely be a set of breakers or fuses at your meter.

  3. If you still have no power, check with your neighbors to see if they have power.

  4. All outage calls whether during office hours: (8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday) or after office hours: Call (309)-837-1400
    SOMEONE
    is always on duty to take emergency calls after hours.

  5. Please give your map location number as found on your billing statement. This is located approximately 1 inch from the bottom about in the center of your bill. (See picture below)
